A steering knuckle is a crucial component in a vehicle’s suspension and steering system. It acts as the connecting point between the wheel hub, suspension parts and steering components. The knuckle supports the wheel hub or spindle, allowing the wheels to rotate while also pivoting left or right when you turn the steering wheel. It connects to the control arms, tie rod ends and strut or shock absorber  making it a key player in both wheel alignment and steering response. A damaged or worn steering knuckle can severely impact steering precision, suspension stability and even wheel alignment which can lead to unsafe driving conditions.
